Exactly a year ago we hosted an intimate wedding for an American couple and their families, here in Chania ready to welcome the most joyful time of the year, Christmas celebration🎄

I was surprised and overwhelmed preparing plan A, B, C, D… ready for rain, winds, partial sunny, partial cloudy, give it a name of any weather condition!

Till the day arrived and I met my couple a few days before the wedding ceremony, I think I didn’t really believe things would be so majestic and one of a kind.

I didn’t miss to interview them: why Crete in winter while most couples seek their destination wedding during hot island summer months?

It turned out they had done their research: Crete is a silent but fully operating island during winter months, it provides the best food flavors, beaches are empty and uniquely welcoming, it feels authentic and truly local.

And since then, I keep standing as an Ambassador of Crete and Chania during off season months where our heart pulses slow down, we focus on essence not effect and provide the best level of hospitality we feel not work around!

Beach wedding can feel exotic and reception at Chania Old Town will create the experience and feelings finding yourself a new home.

May we never divide events by year but by four island seasons!
